A vertical weave of travertine and cream, drawn from the grain of the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion stone. Stripes fall in a gradient from warm beige and sandstone to deep taupe, set against a near-black ground — stone-weight, not fabric-weight. The 26 cm repeat holds its rhythm at full drop; from across the room, the print resolves into continuous wall rather than pattern.

Barcelona belongs to Modernist III. The drawing works the same logic the stone does: mineral striation running floor to ceiling, each panel cut to the same width, the veining shifting from one to the next. The eye sees both the rule and the exception.

Hung at full drop, the print carries the whole room — the stripes set a vertical measure the architecture reads through. On one wall only, it stacks into a block of stone-weight texture — a pier against an ordinary plastered wall, rather than a backdrop.
